The Harvey Sterilemax Table Top Sterilizer (also known as the Thermo Scientific Sterilemax Table Top steam sterilizer) is madefor use in labs, hospitals, and dental offices for all of their sterilization needs. This Sterilemax, item number ST75925 is the 120V version. The Sterilemax can be used for wrapped or unwrapped instruments, packs, liquids, test tubes, petri dishes and media. The Sterilemax even comes with an optional printer that keeps track of time and temperature inside the chamber.
The Sterilemax comes standard with four presets of liquids, unwrapped instruments, wrapped instruments, and packs. Unwrapped goods comprise instruments made of metal, glass, or plastic. Wrapped goods can be bandages, fabrics, tubing, metal, etc. To closed bottles and flasks you will choose the liquids setting. Packs is the setting suited for instruments, towels, and other packed goods. It should be noted that the liquid cycle is not recommended for sterilization of clinical application liquids. These cycles last anywhere from 3 minutes for unwrapped instruments, all the way up to 30 minutes for packs. There is even an optional setting that allows the user to select the amount of time and temperature to run their sterilization cycle. The unit is straightforward with a power switch, cycle buttons, the optional cycle button, up/down arrows, a start and stop button.
Some owners might opt for the optional printer that keeps records of each cycle. The Sterilemax also has a pressure monitor, and even has three locks that keep the door shut while the unit is under pressure. There is the option for a non-recirculating tank as well that collects the remaining water after a cycle.
