    100 Portuguese Escudos banknote (Pessoa)
    The Banco de Portugal issued Portuguese Escudo banknotes in 9 different denominations, including this 100 Portuguese Escudos banknote (Pessoa). They are part of the demonetized Portuguese Escudo banknotes series. The Banco de Portugal started issuing these 100 Portuguese Escudo banknotes in 1986. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1995.
    The Cem Escudos Ouro banknote features Portuguese writer Fernando Antonio Nogueira Pessoa. The flower on the back of the 100 escudo note is a rosebud.
