Lobby Cards measure 11 x 14 inches. Although this is a 1949 reissue set, it is now 73 years old, and with Olivier's name over that of Bergner, and its Like New, Unused, condition, warrants the price of admission.

    Original pristine set of eight (8) lobby cards for the 1949 reissue of the classic film through United Artists. Unused. Remains in Like New

    Condition. Lobby Cards measure 11 x 14 inches.
    I bought this set in the 1960s during the late David Shepard's tenure with Blackhawk Films; one of many delicious artifacts including posters for Marion Leonard's CARMEN and Dorothy Comingore's pre CITIZEN KANE oddity, PRISON TRAIN.
    The 1949 reissue cards prominently displays Olivier's name over the title, unlike the original, which probably displayed Elizabeth Bergner. Note the inclusion of
    Sir
    Laurence Olivier, knighted in 1947. The film also co-stars Henry Ainley, a major Shakespearean actor of legend.

    Although this is a 1949 reissue set, it is now 73 years old, and with Olivier's name over that of Bergner
    (less than a major asset in 1949)
