This was produced by the Taft-Peirce Co. at Woonsocket, R.I., U.S.A..
Made of high grade cast iron,
this tool measures

The flange edge thickness is approximately 3/8".
Weight (bare) is approximately 100 pounds.
No calibration paperwork.
Photo note:
The only way I could get photos that were generally uniform in tone was to shoot this outdoors in daylight (without flash). The resulting photos make the precision surfaces appear overall slightly brighter than the eye sees them.
A google search for Taft-Peirce straightedge led me to the current Taft-Peirce line at the Suburban Tool internet pages. A new Leveling Straight Edge of similar size is listed there as their model

he closest-size of any current model found during my search.
CONDITION:
Used, Good vintage leveling straight edge, but not calibrated.
The texture from the scraping pattern is visible on both of the 61-

" x 3" surfaces.
There are light scratches, and a few very minor dents that were carefully dressed-out a long time ago, and other typical signs of use. There are small paint chips, and other areas of paint loss
